• Let's Go Fly! Kite Festival, Poundbury – 6 June
A brand-new addition to Dorset’s summer events calendar, the Let's Go Fly! Kite Festival takes place on The Great Field. Organised by Dorchester Town Council and White Horse Kite Flyers, the event promises a colourful day of kite displays, family fun and outdoor entertainment.
• Wimborne Minster Folk Festival – 12–14 June
A celebration of all things folk, featuring live music, dance, comedy, workshops, and food and drink stalls throughout Wimborne town centre.
• Chesil Rocks, Weymouth Pavilion – 20 June
An annual music and arts festival held at Weymouth Pavilion, with all proceeds supporting the Samaritans of Dorset.
• Dorsetfest, Warren Farm – 26–27 June
Join two days of live music, camping, family fun, food and drink in the Dorset hills. Run entirely by volunteers, Dorsetfest raises money for local community projects and charities, including Julia’s House.
• TANKFEST, The Tank Museum, Bovington – 26–28 June

July 2026 Highlights
• Dorset Seafood Festival (Seafest), Weymouth – 4–5 July

August 2026 Highlights
• Dorset Food and Arts Festival, Poundbury – 1 August
Held on The Great Field in Poundbury, this free summer festival celebrates the very best of Dorset produce, arts and crafts and community talent, with artisan makers, handmade gifts, street food and live entertainment throughout the day.
• Jurassic Fields, Bridport – 14–16 August
A coastal music festival with a fantastic annual lineup, bringing live music and festival atmosphere to West Dorset.
• Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show – 19-20 August
A showcase of Dorset's rural heritage featuring livestock classes, agricultural displays, local food producers, trade stands and family attractions.
